Vinay’s self-confidence and resilience was truly a confidence booster.

At the outset, let me state that I’m a real estate agent with Harcourts – Glenfield in Auckland.

We purchased the 13/30 Hanson St. from Vinay approx.. 6 years ago for our sons who were in University at the time. When it was time to sell ( since my sons were no longer in the property), we decided to call in Vinay and another agency (to keep him honest J ) to get appraisals. My wife took the lead in selecting the agency, since we decided that I would not be able to take impartial decisions!

Vinay took nothing for granted, and we were so impressed with Vinay’s appraisal and research that we decided to move forward with Vinay. Since we were not knowledgeable about the Wellington market, we relied on Vinay to recommend marketing options (quite different from the Auckland market!).

Admittedly, we struggled with buyer numbers through the first month, were getting quite nervous, and wanted to resort to price reductions, additional marketing, etc. Through this uncertain period Vinay regularly kept us informed of the situation, (not just us, but my sons in Wellington as well!), calling us at least twice a week with updates, responding promptly to our queries and concerns, requesting us to be patient and assuring us of a satisfactory result.

In my opinion, Real Estate agents make the worst vendors, and I’m sure I lived up to that reputation, but Vinay’s self-confidence and resilience was truly a confidence booster.

A month later, we sold….for a price considerably higher than we expected.

We have no hesitation in recommending Vinay to any home seller. We’re sure my sons feel the same and am confident that they now have a ‘Go-To’ real estate agent for their future real estate needs and advice.
