Vinay never lost his Confidence or his Positive Attitude

I had a property to sell in Mount Cook recently and on my son’s recommendation, I chose Vinay from Harcourts. On our initial meeting in January, I found him very friendly and approachable. Although I hadn’t signed him up yet, he was already willing to give me his honest opinion on how to best prepare my property for sale without overspending.

Right from the onset, I felt comfortable asking him for any help or advice during the sale process. He would always reply to my emails and text messages spontaneously and nothing was a chore for him. He did tell me he specialized in the Mount Victoria market, but I liked this guy, and I trusted him to prepare the best marketing strategy for me. What he didn’t know, he would go that extra length to find out. His best advice to me was to obtain my own LIM and Builder’s Report.

From start to finish, it took approximately 8 weeks for my home to sell. Initially, my home was up for Tender, but with the changing market and a few issues along the way, my home was finally sold under Negotiation. Of-course, by Week 6, alarm bells started ringing and I was already in the process of deciding whether to advertise for new tenants once again or not. Funny enough, during this entire time, Vinay never lost his confidence or his positive attitude and kept reassuring me he WOULD find a buyer.

However, as I live in Auckland and Staging was costing me each week, I had resigned myself to the fact that it was time to take my house off the market. Vinay was happy for me to do this, but he was still fully committed to selling my home and advised me not to sign up a new Tenancy yet. I’m glad I listened.

Believe or not, by the end of Week 7, he finally found a buyer for me. We negotiate……we counter-offer….we stop. The following week, miraculously, Vinay finds me yet another new buyer. Once again, we negotiate….we counter-offer…..we stop. Meanwhile, the first buyer returns and makes another unsuccessful offer. Weekend comes along, I’m on a plane to Wellington to interview tenants. Mid-morning, I get an urgent call from Vinay with one final counter-offer ….I accept!

You did what you promised Vinay….you delivered! Thank you for sharing this journey with me and for helping me to achieve a successful outcome. Although I did not reach my CV, I met the market and was happy with my sale price. I admire you for your integrity, your commitment, your enthusiasm and your determination.

You’re a great guy to deal with and I would not hesitate to recommend you to future clients.
